My kitten Aurora is a very cute cat. I call her a kitten, but really she is a cat. I've had her since July 27, 2003. It hasn't seemed like more than a year. Though Aurora has grown, and I do have the pics to prove it, she is still a pretty small cat. She is only just under 9 lbs. My previous cats, were 11 lbs for the female and 13 for the male. And they weren't fat cats! The tom, Smoky, was all muscle.
Anyway I'm guessing that people who clicked on this link want pics of my darling cat. I can't really figure out any other reason you'd listen to me ramble on.
Here is Aurora when she is still only a few months old. This was the first day that she ever learned to perch on top of the scratching post. It was Aug 6, 2003.
This picture was only taken at the beginning of October 2003. Just a couple of months later. It's pretty amazing how much she has grown. You can see it in the shape of the ears. In this picture they don't look quite so gigantic compared to the rest of her head. In this picture you have a better idea of her real coloring. She is a very dark tortoise shell cat: mostly black with yellow scattered about and two patches of white under her chin and on her belly.
Here Aurora thinks that she is so clever and will leap out to attack my feet without me knowing that she is coming. Of course her butt is hanging out from under the vest she has hidden under and her tail is lashing madly back and forth. It reminds me of the lions and tigers who scare their prey away by moving the tips of their tails, only a little more obvious. This was taken around Feb 2004.
Aurora spends a lot of her time looking out of the window in my living room. She is a completely indoor cat. So her stares down at the tree and bushes in the middle of the apartment complex and meows at the birds. I feel bad leaving her home alone all day, but it's better than having her get run over by a car. Also a cat's life expectancy is greatly improved if they don't have to have all the nasty shots that are necessary if they go outside. This picture was taken April 3, 2004.
This pics looks a littl strange because the flash is reflecting off her eyes. However, it is a good picture of her beautiful coloring. I named her Aurora because her coloring reminded me of both Aurora Borealis and dawn. This picture was taken March 20, 2004.
This picture was taken in sometime in june from the 14th to the 21st. Aurora was staying at a friends while I went to Maine to go sailing. She did pretend not to know me when I picked her up a week later, but my friend got a couple of excellent pics of her. This is the one I like the best.
