My name is Clara Lee, I graduated from Dartmouth College,
with a AB degree in Computer Science in June 2003. I loved Dartmouth,
and I still miss my college friends.
I grew up spending summers on a schooner. The SchoonerHeritage
to be exact. My parents designed and built it, as you can read if you go to
the page. I suggest that you take a look: it's great fun to go sailing.
Growing up on a schooner has given me some unique experiences. I won't go into
them right now, but it was a lot of fun most of the time. I was able to meet many new and intersting people.
I had a continual succcession of "aunts", "uncles", and "grandparents" who were always happy to
amuse me and teach me cool stuff.
My hobbies are karate, jewelry design, cross-country skiing, hiking, and the occasional run. In highschool I was a brown belt,
practicing goju shenkai karate. Now I take shito-ryu karate at Pacific Martial Arts.
I took full advantage of the
Donald Claflin Jewelry Studio when I was at Dartmouth College. I've shown pieces
in all of the exhibits in the rotunda of the Hopkins Center over Graduation. Currently
I'm trying to make do with a set of hand tools for my jewelry needs. It's led to some creative jewelry, but I do wish that I could access a
torch now and then, wire wrapping does get tiring at times.
I currently live in Mountain View, CA. I've got the cutest little kitten, Aurora.
She is a very dark tortoiseshell with amber eyes. I got her
from the Palo Alto Humane Society by choosing the kitten that purred the most and tried to get away from me the least.
She is a little demon kitten, always waking me up at the wrong time and chewing on my stuff, but inspite of that I still love her.
She cuddles with me and chases string and does other cute cat things.
