Stupidity/Ignorance on the Internet

Yesterday I received the following email:

From: clara lee < *************@hotmail.com>
Date: Mar 2, 2006 6:36 PM
Subject:
To: ***************@gmail.com

hello, my name is clara too! and i was just wondering if i could have your
e-mail address name because I cannot think of any other e-mail address for
g-mail, so it would be so kind of you if you could do that!
thank you for listening and i hope you take this into consideration! thanks
again! your friend, Clara

I (and people around me when I received this) was quite amused. There were only 2 things I could think of at first. 1) Someone is really stupid or ignorant of the way the web works. I've had this email address for almost 2 years and there is NO WAY I would give it to someone else. 2) This was some sort of complicated phishing scam. The sender of this email wanted a user address that had been real for some obscure reason.

Today I recieved a second email:

From: clara lee <****************@yahoo.com>
Date: Mar 3, 2006 5:17 PM
Subject: hey clara please read this
To: ********@gmail.com

hi Clara, my name is Clara too you may have gotten an e-mail from *********@hotmail.com that is me too. i hope you read it but if you have not i was just wondering if you could let me have that e-mail address please? you probably do not want to so here's a little about me if that might help, i am fourteen years old and i am in seventh grade. i go to a Montessori school and i am about to go to a different school for the first time in my life. this would really help me if you could give me your e-mail address so people who meet me for the first time can remember me. well thanks for listening i hope you enjoy your life sincerely, Clara : )

Now I have a couple of things to say about this. One, this girl clearly already has 2 email addresses. She can just use one of them. Two, someone correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Montessori schools for gifted kids and supposed to help with creativity and imagination?

I'm wondering if I will get a third email tomorrow. This girl clearly wants my email address, and I'm almost tempted to reply to her.
